Overview

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating, growing and managing an account base. Accountable to directly identify and initiate development efforts. Develop and execute a field sales business plan that will achieve the corporate revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develops new business across all of our core competencies
  • Identify, initiate and engage with clients that provide sustained and profitable revenue streams multiple services
  • Develop and execute a business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company
  • Work closely with local, regional and international operations staff to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met
  • Present an array of logistics solutions that enable numerous entry points into accounts
  • Support and consulting of existing customers as well as further development of a professional cooperation
  • Conducting sales and negotiation meetings
  • Preparation of offers and calculations
  • Processing of customer correspondence
  • Preparation and assembly of accompanying documents (offers, concepts, presentations, etc.)
  • Planning; organization and execution of customer visits
  • Recording and ensuring data maintenance in the CRM as well as for cross-departmental topics in the CRM
  • Ensuring communication between Sales/Customer Service, Operations and to Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Completed further training as a forwarding specialist.
  • 5+ year’s relevant business to business sales experience in Supply Chain Industry preferred
  • Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred
  • Fluent oral and written English is a must.
  • Additional (major) European languages would be an asset
